  • Deathbringer’s Will trinket will now proc haste as a replacement for armor penetration....

Why blizzard! WHY?! Not that the trinket have started to suck! But I still really wanted the arp bonus for some extra uptime for the 100% cap.

Well guess there is not much to do.. just keep play along and smile and then i have to point out to ignore a post that is furter down on this page when I explain about the gear and how I was thinking with the armor penetration!

FestergutRotface
Own'dPwn'd

Was a fun night last nigh with 2 new kills on the bord, we would have gotten server first if it wasen't for the stupid lag that made us wipe on 6%.. but server 3d is allways something on both those bosses! it's fairly simple as a rogue aswell, let me tell you how it works

Festergut: This is all about the damage here, and the best thing about it is that you dont even have to watch omen to steal threat on this on so you and your rogue friends can ToTT each other how much you want to! He has and enrage timer on 5 min so all cooldowns in begining. The only thing you have to watch out for is if you get a orange spiky ball over your head, then your raid leader should asign over vent/ts where to go but that is only if 2 of those spore's will pop up in melee, if you are the only one, you can stay in your position. just make sure that the melee team is grouped up enought so on the spore explode (8yd) it will also explode on the tanks! Have fun, easy fight with the right dps

Rotface: This was a more tricky fight since he dont have an enrage timer but he's adds keep spawning faster and faster so your dps also need's to be on top.

The fight demands 2 tanks, one for kiting and one to tank rotface, the whole raid will group up behind rotface as he will turn around time to time to puke on you, this will give you a debuff that you have to run to the secound tank that will manage the kiting so you can group up 2 small ozee to one big that will be kitied around the room until exploded, NOW, its verry importent that you dont start runing until AFTER he exploded, upon explotion the big ozee will firing out small green slime's up into the air witch will land where you standed before you started runing, you have about 5 secounds to move from your orignal spot out to the wall. This make's it really importent aswell that you are goruped up. after that is done, tank kite him in to the center of the room again, your group up behind and do this all over again! Dont slack!

Now, of you go to have fun on this fight aswell, Tonight it's Professor Putricide and he do seem like a more challange then these to first. Will update on how that goes aswell.

Now I have made the list what I first will be aiming for and what's probebly will be the most easy to obtain. It's for combat specced people that are going all out on Arp.

REMEMBER:

This is NOT a best in slot list at all! This is just a list of item that will easy be collected for more advanced gearing latter on!

I also want to thank http://shadowpanther.net/ for all the help and also thank for a wonderful and well organized list of rogue item's, keep up the good work!

If you wanna see the list together with the shadowpanther gear list: Click here!

Now I will explain how I am thinking.

First starts:

You will get with this exact gear 245 HIT witch all know is to low so you will have to gem for this with 7 x Accurate Ametrine (10 expertise and 10 hit) in all 6 of the yellow slots and then just pick a blue one and this will give you exakt 315 Hit witch is the cap you need to have and also its boost some of your expertise since the gear dosent have any at all. Right here you have 2 chocie, do like me and ignore to "need" for the expertise cap or you can use some gems in the red slots to get to that cap, I am going to gem straigth for agility in every red socket.

Your ARMOR PENETRATION will be 839 passiv (trinkets will give 600 or 678) I know that you only need 735 passive arp if you are going with only Needle-Encrusted Scorpion witch give you 678 on proc and not going at all with Deathbringer's Will but this trinket and all it's proc is to good to ignore and since it's 6 different procs it shouldent mather if it stack once in a while.

But know you are thinking WTF?! you will only need 813 passiv on the gear with deathbringer's will, whatever man if you have to much, little more benefit you even when you dont have all the uptime with the trinkets!

I also wanna remember you that I haven't tested anything yet, this maybe will be a big fail so this might get redone in the future.

your CRIT will be 849. to tierd to calculate the % of this but its fun to know.

9 Red sockets
6 Yellow sockets
3 Blue sockets

I toguth I would share about the PvP spec that I do use when I like to get the adrenaline rushing (ba bum tish) is a shadowstep build one, In my eye's its the moste fun to play if you are going up against another player, and I like it alot in Battlegrounds! Have a look and I will explain: Click here

First of all I think I need to explain why I have put talent point's in both Improved Eviscerate and Vile Poisons. Well, it's simple! when you go into a fight in PvP and your goal is to burst someone down, the little extra damage boost will as it sounds, boost aswell. There for I want to make sure that the Wound Poison hit as hard as it possible can.

That's probebly what people reacting to the moste and I think the rest kinda explains itself. Fleet footed is allways good when you have the speed advantage over someone.

A great tip aswell is the talent there is en Enveloped Shadow that reduces the damage taken by AoE by 30% together with Feint and then cloak of shadow with glyph will make the bladenoobstorming-warriors cry like little baby girls! You should win everytime when you learn how to get that right!

If there is any question over this or anything you would like to add or make different, leave a comment!

Thanks to the new icecrown 5 man instance i have been able to finaly have the drop rate on my site, its the FIRST time that i see an armor penetration trinket drop!

Grats to me!

Durring the rest off the day I have been working on the Combat gear and what I personaly think is worth to aim to get, but all the best I picked out made an HUGH lose in hit and expertise so I will go over it again and probebly again after that so i can see the whole persspective.

Will also start working on mutilate as soon as possible

As I can see it at the moment if you are combat specced with an armor penetraion based spec you should go for the Helm:Shadowblade Helmet and the Chest:Shadowblade Breastplate first since they are the only two pices that have arp on them, that tricks of the trade bonus is a must first of all before you going into anything other that you can buy for your emblems.

Myself go for the head first since i have Bloodfang hood and I wont destroy my 4 piece bonus from the Tier9. Will post later on a longer list of whats gear you probebly should get for combat build for most. I will take the mutilate later aswell.

This is a really old post that I made on my guild forum and and i havent been updating it since, the only thing that i did change now that i did know in top of my head was wrong was the Armor Penetration Rating, if any of the curent numbers are wrong, please make a comment and post source please so i can edit it.

Enjoy the reading

*  Agility - This is your main stat, by far. It adds to your Attack Power, Dodge, Crit Chance, and Armor. Especially as you level you want gear and enchants that add agility.
         1. Each point of Ag provide 1 Attack Power
         2. Each point of Ag provides two armor
         3. Crit rating and Dodge rating are increased on a sliding scale. This means that as you level increases so does the amount of Ag needed to get 1% of either dodge or crit.
    * Stamina - This is your second imprtant stat, though it's well behind Agility in importance for leveling. If your health is too low to survive the damage from what you're fighting then get more Stam on your gear. Stam is much more important for PvP.
    * Strength - Strength does add to Attack Power, but gives the Rogue nothing else. Skip Str in favor of more Agility or Stam.
    * Intellect - Rogues have no use for Int. (We don't need no stinkin' brains!) We have no mana pools and no other skills or abilities that relate to Int in any way.
    * Spirit- As with Int, Rogues have no use for Spirit.

Other stats that are useful and start appearing on gear at higher levels. These are more or less in order of desireability:

    * Hit Rating - This number increases your chance to hit the opposition. The Dual Weild skill used by almost all Rogues imposes a large Hit penalty. Not quite so important for leveling, very important for PvP and more so for Raiding.
    * Crit Rating - Directly increases your chance to critically hit the opposition. You can never have enough.
    * Expertise - Reduces your opponent's chance to avoid your attacks. Very nice, especially for raids.
    * Attack Power - Directly increases your damage.
    * Haste Rating - Increases the speed of your attacks.
    * Armor Penetration - Less useful than it looks at first glance. The amount of armor ignored by this stat is pretty trivial. This stat gets a 25% buff with the 3.1 patch. This may make it a little more useful. But now it get nerfed again, to learn more see this post
    * Resilience - A special stat with less value outside of PvP. This stat reduces your chance to be crit, the damage taken from crits, and reduces the damage take from Damage Over Time attacks (DoTs.)

The table of numbers - here are the amounts of each stat that you need to get to 1% effect.
